




A great way to start your day... a hearty breakfast and panoramic views across the majestic Yarra Valley. Breakfast is served from 9.30am all day, and Lunch from midday. (lunch menu). Trading hours 9.30 to 4.30. And what better way to finish off lunch than with 'un magnifique' french style dessert (dessert menu), or a selection from our specialty Petit Fours.
Chris went to the Loire Valley in France for three months in 2006 to learn more about provincial style cooking and has just returned from an extensive five week tour of regional france collecting new ideas and recipes for Les Chesselles. So do not expect Frogs Legs and Snails, just hearty country cooking and some of the most original delicious French regional desserts. A new excited original menu is being presented over the next few weeks.

Petit Fours are tiny cookies and iced cakes served at the end of a meal usually with a cup of coffee. One of the greatest French chefs of the eighteenth century, Careme, said that these little cakes were baked in the ovens after the large cakes had been removed and the oven had cooled slightly. These after dinner delights extend now to include small fancy cookies, tiny tarts and confectionery, such as chocolate coated fruits, marzipan sweets and nut confections.
There has also been an increase of interest in exquisitely molded chocolates to serve after dinner, but there is an added charm in the individual texture and taste which shows in the produce which is homemade, even if not as perfect as commercial in appearance.
