Bastille Day in July at Les Chésselles and Mont De Lancey

Bastille Day is the French national holiday, celebrated on 14 July each year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (National Celebration) and commonly le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July). It commemorates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, held on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789; the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation, and of the reconciliation of all the French inside the constitutional monarchy which preceded the First Republic, during the French Revolution.

Festivities are held on the morning of 14 July, on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris in front of the President of the Republic...
and also at Les Chésselles and Mont De Lancey in the picturesque Yarra Valley.

Each year the French heritage of the region is celebrated over two days in the grounds of Mont De Lancey with spectaular re-enactments, an array of special activities, and dignitaries to open and close the event.

This is a 'hands-on' class, then alongwith a glass of French Bubbly you will proceed to enjoy eating whet you have prepared

These classes will be available on any Monday when we are closed to the public... starting at 8.30am to approxiamately 2pm

Ideal as an alternative to a Hen's Night, especially if your friends are 'foodies'

Classes require a minimum of 4 participants, and are capped at 10 participants. Cost is $125 per person.
